Student Film Competition

    30 films were submitted. The five were the winners. They were judged on their science content, educational value and overall filmmaking.

    The judges were:

  • Steve Bass, President and CEO of Oregon Public Broadcasting
  • Eli Ingraham, Director of the WGBH Network Forum
  • Mary Liscombe, Assistant Director, Christa McAuliffe Center for Education and Teacher Excellence at
    Framingham State College
  • Mary Essary, Project Director, Imagining the Future, New England Sustainable Energy Association
  • John Pickle, Research Scientist and Climate Change Project Manager, Boston Museum of Science
  • Steve Rumsey, Science Chair and Rita Chang, Earth Science Teacher, Wellesley High School
  • and twelve ninth graders from Ms. Chang’s Wellesley High School Earth Science class
